DAY 1 BANGKOK-PARO-THIMPHU

Enjoy the breathtaking landscape as the plane descends slowly amidst the grandeur of the mountains.

Experience the capital city, Thimphu, and visit Tashicho Dzong, the fortress at the heart of Thimphu. It is a place of beauty, featuring traditional architecture amidst the tranquility of flower gardens that enhance the romantic atmosphere. This fort also hosts important royal ceremonies and is deeply connected to the history of the Bhutanese monarchy.

Next, visit the Memorial Chorten, a place full of charm that tells the story of love and faith in Bhutan. It commemorates the 3rd king, who ushered Bhutan into a new era. The stupa, built in reverence to Buddhism, serves as a beautiful poetic tribute to love and respect.

Take a leisurely stroll through the Weekend Market, where local produce, fresh fruits and vegetables, and unique souvenirs fill the stalls. This is a chance to share smiles and small stories with the locals, while also picking out delightful keepsakes to remember your journey.

In the evening, explore the city of Thimphu. The capital of Bhutan offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in its unique cultural atmosphere, with its distinctive traditional attire. You can also shop for souvenirs reflecting the local craftsmanship, such as woven textiles, silver jewelry, and Thangka paintings.

Visit the Bhutan Post Office, where you can choose from a variety of commemorative stamps. These stamps are like little poems, capturing the beauty of Bhutans nature and culture, perfect as mementos of your special journey.

DAY 2 THIMPHU - PUNAKHA

Pure path amidst the mountains and rivers.

In the morning, embark on your journey to the charming towns of Wangdue Phodrang and Punakha, where nature and history blend seamlessly. Surrounded by towering mountains and flowing rivers, the serene atmosphere adds a romantic touch to every moment. During the 3-hour drive, you will have the opportunity to visit Simtokha Dzong, the first college in Bhutan, rich with knowledge and historical significance. The dzong still reflects the enchanting architecture of Bhutan today.

On the romantic road to Punakha, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the high mountain ranges alongside clear rivers, warming the heart. At certain points along the journey, you may catch a glimpse of blooming Rhododendron flowers or an apple orchard, inviting you to appreciate the simplicity of local life.

Take a refreshing break at Dochula Pass, situated 3,150 meters above sea level. On clear days, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas against the blue sky, while misty days provide a special embrace of cold that makes the moment even more magical. A highlight of the pass is the 108 stupas, built by the Queen of Bhutan to celebrate victory in battle, driven by the love for the land from Bhutan's fourth king.

Continue your journey to Wangdi Phodrang Dzong, a fortress perched on a steep ridge, constructed in 1638. This dzong represents the traditional Bhutanese architectural style and is full of historical stories regarding the unification of Bhutan.

Upon reaching Punakha, you will check into your accommodation and relax in the peaceful surroundings before exploring the town. Visit the Weekend Market, which is brimming with local crafts, vibrant handwoven textiles, silver jewelry, and unique Bhutanese souvenirs.

DAY 3 PUNAKHA

The chapter of love... where two rivers meet

This morning, welcome a new day with the romantic atmosphere of Punakha. Begin your journey to Punakha Dzong, a place that symbolizes the heart of Bhutans history and love. Punakha Dzong is known as the most majestic dzong in Bhutan, located at the confluence of the Po Chu and Mo Chu rivers, which deeply symbolize the "Father River" and the "Mother River," flowing together as if joining two hearts. This dzong is also the site of the royal wedding ceremony of King Jigme and the Queen, exuding an atmosphere of love and sanctity. Surrounded by stunning mountain views and flowing rivers, this dzong is a national treasure and a winter residence for the head of the clergy, imbued with the mystical essence of history and spirituality.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Queen's Village, a peaceful and simple village that is the birthplace of the Queen. Here, you can enjoy the scenery that reflects the love and beauty found in the simplicity of local life.

DAY 4 PUNAKHA - PARO

Journey Through Time

After experiencing the charm of Punakha, we will journey back to Paro, approximately 126 kilometers away. Along the way, you will be captivated by the surrounding nature, with lush green mountains and crystal-clear rivers, creating a romantic atmosphere throughout the journey.

Visit the National Museum in Paro, which was once a grand fortress known as Ta Dzong, standing proudly in this valley. It was transformed into a museum in 1968. Here, you will experience the beauty and significance of Bhutanese culture through exhibits of traditional costumes, ancient weapons, coins, tools, and various wildlife specimens, as well as stamps that tell the story of Bhutan through the ages.

Next, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a sacred and ancient temple dating back to the 7th century. You will feel the holiness of the statue of Avalokiteshvara, with a thousand eyes and hands, housed within the temple. The temple is beautifully adorned with turquoise and coral stones offered by the locals as an act of devotion. You may also light 108 butter lamps as part of the sacred ceremony, creating a peaceful and holy atmosphere.

Continue the journey to Paro Dzong, which was built in 1645 and stands majestically amidst the Paro Valley. Cross a wooden bridge over the river to reach this beautiful fortress, which holds historical significance and was also the filming location for the movie Little Buddha. Here, over 200 monks reside, and you will have the chance to enjoy a peaceful evening stroll through the charming old town of Paro.

DAY 5 PARO

The Chapter of Faith... In the Land of Tiger's Nest, Embraced by the Mountains

A Morning of Inspiration at Taktsang Monastery

Start the day with a journey to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest. This incredible monastery is perched on a steep cliff, symbolizing faith that defies both gravity and time. The legend speaks of Guru Rinpoche, who transformed into a Garuda riding a tiger to fly up and meditate, spreading teachings from this small cave on the cliffside.

The 2-kilometer path leading to Taktsang is filled with devotion, surrounded by pure air and the breathtaking view of pine forests, while the wind blows gently, fueling the journey toward your destination.

After lunch, enjoy a fun experience with archery or darts, both traditional sports of Bhutan. Taking aim and releasing an arrow feels like sending your intentions and prayers out to the mountains. You can also choose to have your fortune told through astrology readings.

In the evening, before the sun sets, stroll along the only shopping street in Paro. This charming street is filled with shops offering local products, such as stamps, printed paper, and souvenirs. Every corner of this street feels like a scene from a romantic movie, evoking a sense of joy in your heart.

DAY 6 PARO - BANGKOK
